Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I have full tailpipes to the rear as factory stock. The tailpipes have turndowns.
Resonators or short glasspacks, before or after the mufflers, wherever y9u have the most room. Did you change from headers to manifolds?
The elegant solution is a Heimholtz resonator chamber. Google heimholtz resonator for exhaust.

@Voetom I recently had a full new exhaust system installed on my Coronet. Changed to HIPO manifolds with full 2-1/2 to 2-1/4 pipes with turndowns and Flowmaster Delta 50 mufflers. We used factory-style brackets at rear of mufflers and tailpipes. The previous mufflers were Flowmaster Delta 40’s which are supposed to be louder than the new Delta 50’s. I now have an annoying resonance that didn’t exist on the previous system. Regarding your comment above “if they mount them correctly”, what are the critical things that must be done to avoid additional resonance? Just wondering if we did something wrong with the new install. Thanks in advance!

Put in resonators. I did the vibrant brand can style. I think the ultra quiet’s are too big or at least too close for comfort. I did a full 2.5 system from hp manifolds to factory tips, with the factory hangers and have zero, I mean nothing, as far as drone or vibrations of interior trim like I’ve had with every single of the 15 cars I’ve had. It’s bliss. The hangers I used were from accurate and made for the 2.5 pipes, as well as the big bore 2.5 tips.
 
Mine has the Dynomax super Turbos. Other wise stock street hemi exhaust
I removed old Yearone Street Hemi mufflers that were 20 plus years old and WAAAAAY to quite for my taste

I like this sound a lot better, has a slight rumble at stops and ever so light rumble on hiway speeds but I have ZERO drone

 
My build is finaly coming to an end need to chose between flowmaster or magnaflow

its a 1969 charger with 440 .....engine has been rebuilt a now a 512 stroker tti headers

shops says flow master 40 series would be to loud and people get tired of it


I mean i want it loud but i also want to be able to hear my radio inside the car car


between these to suggestions what are people experience
I just bought a set of 3 inch Dyno Max Super Turbo mufflers and 3 inch flow master tail pipes going to put them on this Friday, will check back after they are installed

How do you like your Dyno Max Super Turbo mufflers? I just bought a set 3 inch along with 3 inch flow master tail pipes and 3 inch tips. Going to install this Friday
 
Mine are stock 2.25in and out.

But sound good.
Not loud by any means.
Just a nice low rumble

That said.
A system in 3inch isn't going to sound anything like my car

I’m loving mine that are 2.5. I went ahead with resonators and that will make it hard to compare to anything without them. I have zero drone at any rpm, which was my top priority this time.

there used to be a video on summits website that gives optimum exh. sizes , 3 1/2 is best for 500 '' .
