Wondering if anyone has attempted or been sucessful at removing that factory dash tach from the back side without taking the dash out.

I want to replace the circuit board in mine but i'm not too excited about taking the entire dash apart to get at it.

I'm curious if it can be pulled out the back. I know it wont be easy to access with all the wires and limited visiblity....but, can it be done?

If you are talking about a 69 RR, it is very easy if you take out the radio and gain access there. 3 phillips head screws is all that holds it in.

yes, I am working on a 69 roadrunner.

Thanks for the helping hint. I'll give it a try.

Hunt2elk is right. It helps if you have one of those holding screwdrivers. I have one for straight and phillips head screws this way you dont drop the screw when you back it out.
