hi guys,

did the lightweight-13:1-compression 63 Savoy's ever come with factory undercoating, or was this always obsolete on these particular cars?

thanks,
Marcel

I would think no it did not have it. Not unless the cust requested it. Ron

The inter company memo dated March 6, 1963, about the light weight package, states that part of the package was the lack of undercoating.

This information is from the book "1963 Plymouth Super Stock Guide" by Darrell Davis. If you don't have it, you should get it ASAP.

All MW cars, EXCEPTING for the aluminum nose lightweight cars came with wheel well undercoating and the sound deadner in the trunk area of the rear qtr panels, just like the standard cars. They never had full undercarriage undercoating.

so if i understand right, the lightweight cars didn't have any coating or sounddeadener?
I want to clone my car into a lightweightcar, so looking for as much details as possible.

thanks,
