Hey thanks for all the leads guys and taking the time to post them. I haven't been on here hardly at all (works been nutz), so my apologies for not getting back with all of you. I'm in the process of a bit of wheeling and dealing with another member on an A-Body. If all goes well I'll be happy to share the next addition to the stable.
Good to see you Ben! Been a while. 3 Years, where have they gone..... No Seriously, where the hell did they go? LOL Anyways, thanks for the compliment on the bird. She's quite a handful and an absolute blast to drive. It's kinda like being 12 again, with a wristband for the rides at the Fair, every time I go in the garage to fire her up. Good times. As far as the TCI tranny goes, not a whole lot of setting up to do. I'm pretty happy with the performance of the tranny. It does have a PTC 3500-3800RPM Stall converter in it. Shift transitions are very smooth. So smooth it winds up and transitions through the gears like a snowmobile...Just straight through. No head jamming up or down shifts. Just feels like one long gear. I did have an issue with a leak though. The pivot/throttle shaft seal was leaking bad. A new seal cost me 4 bucks and I bought a tool that allows the seal to be changed out with the tranny in the vehicle. Worked very well (plan on posting the tool/process here). Also, the original bracket tac welded on tranny dipstick that's supposed to secure down under one of the bell-housing bolts did not fit to the backside of the motor. Bracket shape/angle was all wrong. I made my own bracket, tack welded it to the tube and secured it from the very last bolt for the headers. Works well. Besides having to drop the header for the seal and makes a bracket and a tac weld, tranny is decent thus far.
Anyways, good to see you around. Take care Ben. And thanks again to you other guys that posted those A-Bodies. Appreciate it.
