Oh man, I was 7 in 58 and the local dealer had a promo model available for anyone that just came in to take a look and I begged the snot out of my dad to go take and look and take me with him as I really liked the 58 Edsel. He finally relented. Btw, dad hated Ford products lolGood thing you're not into 58 Edsels. Between interior color schemes, and one-tone, two-tone, and three-tone exterior colors, and four models, there were a thousand color schemes available.
I was 6 in 58, and heavily into 1/25 friction motor toy cars.Oh man, I was 7 in 58 and the local dealer had a promo model available for anyone that just came in to take a look and I begged the snot out of my dad to go take and look and take me with him as I really liked the 50 Edsel. About fifteen years ago there was a 58 Edsel sedan delivery for sale locally. I wanted it bad. Big block/stick. I couldn't afford what he was asking, watched the asking price drop.....
and drop.....
and drop, right into my price range.....
and it sold to somebody else and I've never seen it since.
What's strange is, I was SURE it was a 57 Ford courier rebody, or a wagon converted to S.D.
Nope. Further research says there IS such a thing. They have got to be MAGA rare, lol.
A 60 Edsel wagon? They must have made four or five of them.......There might still be a 59 here in the City. A long time ago probably 1980 there was a 60 wagon in the city. I would drive by it quite often.
My 53 Bentley was two tone grey. Light grey and charcoal grey, with a red pin stripe. Sold it years ago to help pay for the big house for my ex. These days my Triumph Trophy is British Racing green. Much prettier colour than my other bikes. My ex did not like bikes. Pity.
The Dodge camper van is ugly cream, with ugly orange and black Harley stripes.
When I used to drive to Columbus for the Mopar Nats, about 30 years ago, (was it really that long ago?) we would go through a small town that had a '60 Edsel wagon sitting in the laneway. I think it was Sunbury, Ohio?A 60 Edsel wagon? They must have made four or five of them.......
In 58 Edsel had about 400 interior/exterior color combos. By 1960, there was about twelve.
Fun fact. There were more '69 A12s built than the total run of '60 Edsels.
I saw a 1958 Edsel sedan delivery about 40 years ago at a huge swap meet at Barrie, Ontario. At the time, I figured it was a conversion from a Ford S.D., using station wagon parts. The only one I have ever seen.About fifteen years ago there was a 58 Edsel sedan delivery for sale locally. I wanted it bad. Big block/stick. Gotta agree. Some colors need a lot of contrast. Kinda like purple needs some white stripes or vinyl top to set it off.I do not usually like orange as a colour choice, but I really like a '69 A12 SuperBee in orange, with black fibreglass hood, black vinyl top, and black BumbleBee stripe.
1996 900. Only 1337 made world wide. Sweet bike. I had it painted by the pros. When I get time I need to lower it about 2 inches.Nice to hear you have a trophy.
