The car is coming home from the paint shop and I'll soon be wrenching away as I drop the new motor in.

I'll be needing some good fender covers to protect the new paint.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

i bought some not too long ago. they are the lightweight "sticky" kind. not sticky from glue or anything....but they are made of rubber that wont slide around or off the fender. i love em ! ebay has em

Nice wagon!

I wish I could find my 85 Plymouth Troubleshooting fender cover.
I don't think I ever took it out of the package.

I did score a vintage Cornwell tools cover at a local swap meet for $5.

How about that vintage Champion one on ebay for $300, Riiight!

I'm also using big, soft terry towels as well, draped longways up and down.
I've got two of them, and they go from almost the wheel well on the outside, to past the frame horn on the inside. I accidentally discovered this, because just had one laying there, and it saved my freshly painted inner fenders from getting degreaser overspray.

Meant to say I use the blanket under the foam fender covers.
I shouldn't be on the computor when I'm half asleep

I use a combination of terry cloth bath towels and yoga mat foam. The yoga mat foam is about 1/4" thick and can be easily cut to custom fit specific areas you want to protect. The only drawback to the foam is that it is somewhat tacky and can pick up grit if you're not careful where you lay it.
