OK let's get back on track here lol Despite the people that are out there to deceive, and despite the moral dilemma how are some ways to protect your self form fraud or to educate yourself on what to look for I mean if it's done right how the heck would you know? or does it even matter if the parts are all there then who cares?

Given the number of nuances found on fender tags, the changes in tags in the same year at the same plant, the differences between years and the differences between plants, plus the number of fake tags, broadcast sheets and window stickers out there, it is difficult for somone that doesn't spend a lot of time with this stuff to determine what is correct and what is not.

If you are not sure if a tag or document is legitimate....ASK. There are plenty of people on Boards that can help.

It costs a lot less to maybe suffer a little embarrasment on a Board than to be embarrased because the Hemi GTX you bought was really a 318 Satellite.
