A Dana just looks so bad assed.
Haha I got my driveshaft back from the shop with one of the needle rollers sideways under a cap. Took me awhile to figure out why it wouldn’t fit.Ticks me off that the breather isn't in the stock location ! Don't know who the OP got his from but mine was built by Bear's in Canada and they put it in the same spot. Also no brake line tabs. Otherwise I'm happy. I went with the Eaton s-trac and 3.55's. I had them shorten my driveshaft at the same time.
WARNING: the rear universal is a VERY tight fit in the yoke. Check it closely as you install it - make sure either side doesn't snag on the tabs and that it seats properly. Took me damn near an hour of screwing with the thing before it finally got in properly. The pressure of air and grease in the bearings seems to be the culprit.
Who is/was the shipper or the transportation company or the carrier??? Did you request a copy of the bill of laiding (for tracking purposes)??? At the very least, you should bitch and perhaps receive a few $$$ off the transportation charges.....just another example of someone not doing their job, with the "it's not my responsibility" excuse....you probably paid several hundred $$ for shipping.....just my opinion.....you'll never get anything unless you ask.....It was a long 6 weeks from ordering to receiving my new S60!!
I had actually gone to the local shipping depot to pick it up on Friday but they couldn't find it.
That was a little frustrating but luckily the found it and called me this morning so I went back to pic it up.
Now I have to get my driveshaft shortened and put it in!!
