Hello all. I just got my first b body. It came out of Montana and is now in Colorado. 1970 Charger. She was originally black with a white vinyl top. 383 and auto 727. Looks like she had a good long life full of adventures before being forgotten about. Her bones are overall very good. Typical rust in fenders, trunk pan, floor, and roofline where it meets the back window. The interior is completely missing including the steering wheel.
The motor and tranny are just sitting in her held up with a chain. Glass is all present with the exception of the rear window. I have so much to learn. I have spent dozens of hours reading post and watching videos, educating myself about the b body cars. My plan is to do a restomod. Any advise on order of operation for the project would be helpful. Thank you for welcoming me and my super cool 70 Charger. I look forward to learning from you all.

Man I got som catching up to do. Everyday I wake up and remember I have a Charger. So excited.
Better order your upholstery now if you need it. I placed my Legendary Interiors order on 02/06/2022 and it is now estimated to ship at the end of next month (November); was early October.

It only took around 6 weeks for the bucket seat foam to show up on my doorstep.

I’ll check out legendary interiors. Thanks for the lead. I’m pulling the motor and tranny tomorrow and then starting the strip down of everything. Can you recommend a good place to start? Is there a thread that talks about stripping it all down and where to start? I’m thinking about the rear end of the car. It’s where the most rust and problems are. Quarters, trunk, where the roof meets the rear window.

Welcome to FBBO from New Zealand.

Looks like you'll be busy for a few days to come.

It's not too hard to fall in love with 70 Chargers! I was six when my parents bought their 70 Charger R/T SE it was our family car until 1982. I have been hooked ever since! Welcome and good luck with your Charger build!
