Man, that's the 1st time i've ever heard that song. It's a bit before my time but still, it's a good little song funny how i never heard it.

I can deal with some Beach Boys.....but the beatles make me vomit.

I love this song.Eleanor Rigby was a real person, she worked as a scullery maid in a Liverpool hospital, the daughter of a rich woollen mill owner, Father McKenzie was the priest in the local church, where she brought rice daily to the church to be distributed to the poor in the area, nobody suspected at the time that she was very wealthy as her father left her property and money, when she died nobody came to her funeral, she left all her wealth not to church but solely to Father McKenzie, some £3million,http://youtu.be/k9Itt02QOO0

My younger Brother "Tim the Convict" was a big Beatles fan, I like them too, but not like any of the 60's Surfer Music, Dick Dale, Jan & Dean, Beach Boys, or any others for that matter, I use to love all the stupid SoCal Surf Movies, Bobby Darin, Frankie Valley, Frankie Avalon & Annette Funichello {spelling}, Giget, Tammy, even Elvis made them {not surf music thou}... Remember the movie "On Any Wednesday" {I think it was a Gary Busey movie} or even the 1966 surfer tour of the world "Endless Summer" or the in the 90's sequial... I was very young, but loved that era of music & I still do....man I'm feeling old now...

Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine & Mike Love "I think are all still alive", so is Glen Cambell one of the original members, Dennis Wilson & the younger Wilson brother {his name eludes me right now} are deceased... Good Vibrations, Palisades Park, Fun Fun Fun, Surfin' USA, Surfer Girl, Little Deuce Coupe, Little Honda, Help Me Rhonda, Warmth of The Sun, Wendy, Catch A Wave, "409", among many others, great tunes from that era... Also I wasn't a big fan of "Pet Sounds" album, only a couple songs I like, it's kind of "too drug induced" music too me... they got into that eastern cult drug induced crap, from that era, like the Beatles did too...

the Beatles were the best band to ever grace this planet........dont argue with me either.... nobody has ever done the body of work the Beatles did in a short 8 year career. and to this day the Beatles out sell everybody.

i love Motown too BUD....come to think of it....i like all music except that thrash death metal....rap...and country......as much as i have tried, i just cant do it.

"...she loves you yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh " !:headbang:

It was Pet Sounds that blew me out of the water. I love the album so much. I've just bought my kids each a copy of it for their education in life ... I figure no one is educated musically 'til they've heard that album ... I love the orchestra, the arrangements ... it may be going overboard to say it's the classic of the century ... but to me, it certainly is a total, classic record that is unbeatable in many ways ... I've often played Pet Sounds and cried. I played it to John so much that it would be difficult for him to escape the influence ... it was the record of the time. The thing that really made me sit up and take notice was the bass lines ... and also, putting melodies in the bass line. That I think was probably the big influence that set me thinking when we recorded Pepper, it set me off on a period I had then for a couple of years of nearly always writing quite melodic bass lines. "God Only Knows" is a big favorite of mine ... very emotional, always a bit of a choker for me, that one. On "You Still Believe in Me", I love that melody - that kills me ... that's my favorite, I think ... it's so beautiful right at the end ... comes surging back in these multi-colored harmonies ... sends shivers up my spine. - Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney had everything to do with getting Badfinger off the ground....and a great band they were! "

without you".... often mistaken being written by Harry Nillson was written by Badfinger....im a musician and full of useless trivia....lmao...take a listen>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnb5JeK1hOo

I love 60's music! Again, I must be some sick twitch, because I love the the beach boys, the Beatles, and the Greatful Dead.

However if it was me, nothing quite as cool as those motown folks. I love Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, and old school temptations.
