First open road drive today!!!

Yessss!! Drove to get gas today. First out of neighborhood. Ran good. Third gear didn’t kick in till 65 is that ok? I’ve got a tf2 transgo kit, bpe kick down, 3.55s, and a huge plate style trans cooler but no gauge hooked up yet. Don’t wanna burn up the trans. 2nd gear hit at 40. Felt awesome to drive it!

Was your gas pedal floored when going in to 3rd, or just cruising along?
If I keep my foot in it it won't hit 3rd until about 80 or more...

Ok. Good. Yes it was between 70-80. My speedo cable is partially broken so accuracy is off. Good. Didn’t want to burn up the trans.

The appropriate speed for your car will depend on what rear gears you have & linkage set-up also.

Curious to know if ya had the throttle full out or half, etc? Assume it wasn't full; just wondering. Mine hits 3rd around 72-73 mph under full throttle. Hits 2nd around 40ish under full pedal. Mine is an older TF pushbutton with older shift kit, and only delays shift under full pedal - exploring a partial throttle kickdown install that's available for older TF's. These tranny's didn't have a partial or on-demand shift back when.
