I'm thinking of using the Fitech 3x2 throttle body injection on a 340 project I'm doing. Was looking for some members reviews after installing and running it. But only this thread comes up. Any one have any reviews of the FITech sixpac?
I'm planning to order a Tanks inc gas tank.and the floatless fuel sender. @1 Wild R/T its been a few years since you installed one. Is it still working and reading properly?

I've got two of them, both work very well...I've been telling people about them for quite a few years now & all th feedback I've gotten has been good as well... The floatless senders only cost a few bucks more & the standard sender is a POS... IMO it's a no brainer...

Thanks, I'll get that one for sure. Do you know anyone running Fitech six pac. I have been running a four barrel version for many years and never had any problems with it.

I too have a four barrel version for years... Early on I had a problem, after an hour or so occasionally the Map reading would freeze... Wound up getting the unit replaced under warranty & it's been great ever since...
I know of one guy who installed a FiTech six pack on his car.. He never got it to run right, but he was running a frame mount pump & no return... I don't know what other short cuts he was taking..
I know lots of folks want the returnless system cause it's easy but back when I was trained on EFI the return fuel was always looked at as a way to put excess heat out of the injectors.... I still feel it's a benefit...

I've done a lot of research on the FiTech, no red flags. Held one in person, very nice quality feel.
2 main reasons why I didn't get one for my 70 V-code Roadrunner:
About 2 weeks before I first heard about FiTech's new 6bbl EFI setup I had sent my Holley carbs to Promax for a complete inspection, rebuild, and installation of some of their parts: jetable metering plates in the outbound carbs, and their center carb metering block. The angled idle mixture screws equipped rear carb plate, and other parts. Their "test mule" 440 6bbl had the same cam, so I had them pre-tune the carbs to get them "close" and I had just a little tweaking to do.
The 2nd reason is I have most of the parts for a 572 stroker build gathered, and there's no way to increase the horsepower producing limit of 600HP per FiTech for that unit. My go to for EFI was the F&B 6bbl setup. WAY more expensive, once a control system is added, but the F&B units are throttle body with Direct Port Injection, available with a much higher CFM and HP output capable rating.

I installed a Fitech 6 Barrel onto a 69 Ply wagon, it was pretty straight forward and seemed to run well when I gave it back to the owner however I know for a fact he has never started it again and its been a couple of years already.

I have both a SB and BB version of the F&B system, on the SB it is using a FAST EX 1.0 control system which only controls the fuel whereas on the BB system I am using a Holley HP system along with a MSD 6A ignition and MSD Hall Effect distributor so the ECU controls spark and fuel.

The best system is one that controls spark and fuel to be sure, once you install everything you set the timing to TDC and do EVERYTHING else with a laptop (or handheld).

The biggest problems I have seen when it comes to EFI is bad wiring, lack of adequate power and inadequate fuel systems. You combine any of this with the EFI learning curve and it spells disaster.

Your setups are SO awesome.
I have to point out what seems to be a misread?

I quoted @71RRHI that you quoted in your reply..that I quoted..LOL.
You @70chall440 posted pix of your two F&B EFI setups.
While both F&B and the FiTech are nice, and each has its proper application, I wouldn't want anyone who pops in and reads this, especially if they aren't familiar with the significant differences and appearance to mistake one for the other.

I went through 2 control modules also for no reason it would suddenly go rich changed the o2 sensor no different if you turned the key off then on it would be ok for a few hours ended up using the throttle bodies & welding injectors into each port then used a Fast EFI sportsman module inside the cab 3000 miles hasn't missed a beat

@HEMIB is that the Fitech linkage kit shown in your first pic

No it is some 5mm male rod end off flea bay & some 3/8" rod tapped to 5mm so I could get all the butterflies the same , smoother idle .Didn't like the slop in the originals
