anyone done the swap?

I vaguely remember seeing some info that you have to change K-frame to suit but was years ago and I can’t seem to find much info on what mods you would need to do to fit the hemi in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Schumacher conversion mounts. Everything else is pretty straight-forward. Headers or manifolds? You can PM me with questions. I've done a few hemi conversions.

Merry Christmas!! Mike.

Kramer Automotive can supply a correct K frame. But you being in Australia it may not be cost effective. TTi makes the headers for both K's meaning the Schumacher conversion mounts or the original Hemi K style.Just a slight difference. I am running the Kramer K in the 65.

I did my Hemi install 15 years ago into an E body, but I had to use Hemi K frame because Schumacher hadn't made mounts from RB to Hemi. I had to change starter cable and throttle bracket. Starter cable from B engine is shorter. Manifold on hemi wouldn't let me use RB throttle bracket. My motor was a crate engine from Mopar when they reappeared in 2002. I've got about 10,000 miles on it, don't beat it up just cruise and get on it occasionally.

auto trans get the correct KD for your carb and manifold- fan clutch, a later fan 9-11 blades- big radiator, shroud, spoiler/ air dam

I used the repro exhaust manifolds less the heat control valve, had them jet coated before installation and they look as good as when installed 15 years ago.
