Hey guy's most of you know my 74 Satellite Sundance has been on hold for a while and will continue to be on hold BUT..I do have some good news the shop is finally been spray foamed and I'll be running all the hydro all this week once thats done we can start hanging sheets of steel on the walls.
Any way the reason for this post is to let every one know there is a new foam guy out there giving out better deals and doing great work. Here are a few pic's of their truck with company info as well as a few shots of them in action.

Hey yeah I haven't been around much,I've had a lot on the go.I hope to get the shop done before the end of June so I can get back on the Sundance but who knows.I'm doing the wiring all this week each night after work and my bud Frank has some one putting in the septic the week after so the bathroom won't be up and running for a while.Once the hydro is done the Lift guy's can come and install the hoists :)

Id like to give you the old adage that it will be worth it in the end and things will slow down
a might. but knowing it doesn't usually work that way i can still say it will be worth it and good luck, things slowing down time will tell, but looks and sounds like
things are working fairly well at any rate. Good luck..

Hey, I have a pole barn question or two...

How did you handle the siding to slab area? How did you handle the apron area exiting the doors? At what point did you pour the floor? Did you frame around the poles for the floor?

Thanks.

No problem....The excavators dug down, compacted, then dumped gravel, compacted. The poles were dropped in then 2x12's were run all the way around the building about 6" below ground the metal siding/lower skirt attaches to the 2x12's the whole building was totally constructed then 12" of concrete was poured then the 2x12's that ran threw the door ways were cut out.The last step was to cut the expansion gaps in the concrete.I should point out it's not my shop my bud had it built I just helped and get to run it :)

Thanks for taking some off topic time! One or two more if you don't mind...

So, you just poured concrete right around rhe poles? How did you work that 2x12 where it ran past a pole? Does the floor end directly under where the doors make contact when they're down? It looks like you might not have any aprons. I think I see gravel there.

I'd love to see a pic or two of both those areas. I'll pm you my email if you want.

I'm at the stage right now of planning my floor, and those two areas have be thinking and rethinking quite often. I'm afraid to leave a gap between the floor and an apron, as I think water would get in and undermine. Most that I see are poured as one and have the door going down about an inch lower than the rest of the floor.

Hey YY1 I took the camera out to the shop tonight but the battery died before I could take the pic's you wanted...I will be out there for sure tomorrow morning, finally running all the wire now that the loft is built. :headbang:
The loft looks like it lacks head room in the first pic but it's just the angle it's 7'+" high up top and 6'+" high on the bottom...The lower is for the finished cars to be stored.
