10-05-1962: This new railroad car, shown above, arrived in Richmond today as part of a Southern Railway exibit. One of two built so far, the car is designed to ship coal, sand and gravel and other bulk products that can move in bottom-dumping, open-top cars. Nicknamed "The Big Dropper," the prototype of future railroad cars can be unloaded in seconds by sliding back the door. The display is on exhibit today and tomorrow at the foot of Sixth and Perry sts.
