Love trains, got a lot of toy trains. Rode the CSX train down to see dad back in the summer, first time in 25 years and was very nice. I want to go west to see the Big Boy under power some day

By the way, that 4,000 (imperial) (5,000 U.S.) gallons or so in that tank will be burned up in about 1,000 miles. Take your typical train going from Vancouver to Edmonton for that distance, and factor in three engines for the trip... (okay, just two if it's a light load like empty grain cars).

CN used over 460 million U.S. sized gallons of #2 diesel in 2018.

The Shay geared loco works most like an IC engine than any other EC engine.
