Again .. ultra rare with these options..I'm seeing this more and more lately with sellers trying to justify asking twice as much as they should for a car...

Even 6 cylinder cars are getting the BS treatment...
ultra rare options seems to be the new buzz word if you want to ask to much money

Where do you start? First, 984 of anything is not rare. Being one of ten or less is rare, being one of 984 is being one of 984. Worse, being "one of 984 with these options" means there were thousands of other cars made with similar options, making your car even less rare.

Second, good rule of thumb, if you're going to ask more than $10,000 for an old Mopar, the engine displacement number better start with the number "4". :)

Third, an el cheapo flat grey paint job practically screams "I got the best bodywork and paint job $99 can buy!" He could have at least left the stripe off so people would think the car was in primer.

Lastly, Coronets are not cool to the masses by virtue of their name. Chargers are a football team, a knight's horse, or something charging ahead! Roadrunners are too-cool cartoon birds that run really, really, fast... so fast the phone poles get sucked up behind them! Satellites are like rockets racing through space at thousands of miles per hour! A coronet is a wood-wind instrument that sees little use outside big band dance halls and high school bandrooms. They are viewed as the Least-Popular-Friend-Who-You-Put-In-The-Backseat-While-Cruising to even the Clairinet players! Few think ultra-cool muscle car when they hear Coronet. :)

It's tough to get that kind of money with those long odds against you. :)

its all about appeal when selling a car.he instantly looses at red wheels on a flat black car.not to mention some of the other flaws listed by others.16k is way out of bounds for what he states is the cars condition.i bought a 67 coronet(383 auto)for $3200 and drove it away.unless your options include the big motors and manual trans dont bother listing them as "rare combos".

I agree with these guys.....16K seems out of line for a run of the mill Coronet 440, in primer and needs quarter-trunk repair...plus i'm sure much more. Pretty steep.

I don't think it's in primer. Who puts stripes on primer? What it looks like to me is one of those flat paint jobs some guys around here are offering as a "high performance" look for a super cheap price, but what is actually just a cheap paint job that doesn't require much effort since it's flat.

"who, me? Why, I drive a Coronet! Yep, just like the paper towels brother. You wanna race?" :)

ok.....i know why this car aint selling.....BECAUSE ITS UGLY................WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

Not a Charger, it's a base model Coronet with a 383. Not a super Bee due to the lack of Power Bulge hood.
More like a $2,000 - $4,000 at best.

A coronet is a small crown

A cornet is a musical instrument.

Simple rule of marketing anything, be it a car, house, stamp collection, anything. If it doesn't sell in a reasonable amount of time, IT'S OVERPRICED!!!! It's amazing how many people don't get this simple concept.

That Charger the Meep-Meep posted as been on CL for at least 4 years now I remember it from long ago. Poor bastards guess they don't visit this site lol was hoping one of then did so they could explain themselves.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

Now, can someone explain what the heck was behind the concept of using a bee for a muscle car? :)

Another insane person. I saw that before as well.
He has over 20k invested?? not in this lifetime unless he's a complete moron or burnt money to keep warm when it got cold.

Its a 10k car at best just because its a charger

In fairness, he did say he bought seat covers from Year One. The shipping on those could well be over $20,000 the way Year One charges. ;)
