Lookin great Justin!

Funny thing, my window guy came out today to install the backlight on my Newport. The trim just "snapped" in. He lined it up and took the bottom part of his palm and gave it a little 'thunk' and it clipped right in. Not very hard, mind you, but a solid hit right at each clip.

Btw, I purchased some visor tips online somewhere not too long ago, ill look around to see if I have the link.

Justin I've been reading in batches and finally caught up.

This thread might go down in history as one the best (and most accurate) home built assembly plant type matching cars out there.

You're also such a nice guy which makes for truly enjoyable reading.

You be getting many compliments but there's no question....you've totally earned this!
Tom

I know why you have only been reading/keeping up in batches......it is because of something in your neighborhood leaving 2 black marks! Cannot fault that a bit with such a beautiful ride you have there....like a kid in a candy store, you are....

Much appreciative of your compliments my friend! Good to see you around too btw....

Mario,

Thanks again for those pics! It was also nice to see your X uncovered! There will hopefully be a "short" story on that rear trim but that will get clarified this week. My window guy has a little bit of pressure to deal with but in the end he will get it straight....

Thanks for looking for that link but I got them ordered....

Thanks

Justin

Speaking of missing/lost parts....If anyone remembers back to the steering column. I was unable to find the wire cover piece and thought it was thrown away or would turn up at some point....

Look what I found hidden the the X's part room upstairs, lol....

SSSH. I think my neighbors already forgot about my sudden acceleration mistake (ha ha ha)!

Your car's done on such a professional level. Nowhere the same as mine. However our happiness is gained by our deep rooted passion for the product and never-ending love for our Dads.

Funny, thing is your neighbors are probably saying those damn kids...lol....

You nailed it Tom it is the cars and their stories, period.....the rest is just layers of icing on the cake....No doubt your pops is proud of two things...I think you know which two!

I may just have some OEM (used) ones if you would like for me to check the secret stash.

Excellent work Justin....I just caught up with the latest 5 pages. I'll bet you cannot wait to take the X out for a spin.

Thanks my friend! He would probably say, "That's how it should be done" but "Why, the factory exhaust, lol" "It's a 440 and I want to hear a 440"

If he was around he would have never let me put on the factory exhaust, excluding the manifolds....He loved the HP manifolds and despised headers...I told him once but headers are lighter and provide cooling properties...His response...the factory got these right and they are just like headers and it is a mopar son, not a chevy or Ford we need some additional weight on the front to keep the wheels planted...lol....

Justin

So for the time being while waiting on the bumper and seats....also the rims have to go back to the bodyshop to get redone....As my engine tuner agreed with me to daily run the motor and the trans for a additional break in and seating period....Once I get close to a "around the block drive" He is going to come back out and check over everything again. Ohh and also I found a correct carb and that is at Harms now but that will be a bit....So Once I get the carb back and Dave will hook up and do a final tune. Then that will be the X's maiden voyage around the block, lol....

Keep in mind the motor is still breaking in and seals gears, clutch all needs to seat in.....If your in no rush to drive it the next best thing is RUN TIME..There is no need to rush things at this point....

That reminds me! FF to 4:30......................

Oh Hell yeah Mark. If you squint hard enough you can almost see the rear shot of a 1969 GTX on jackstands.... with a guy looking like Justin working on it (smile).

Dude where you find this funny ****? The stuff you post is so hysterically dead on.... I always laugh my *** off.
