Thanks Justin,
I have been seriously thinking about doing my own seats also. I have watched the how to videos from Legendary also and think that I will try it also.
Now go for the front seats, I know you will do a great job.
Thanks Howard....

I watched them several times and had the computer on another table beside where I was working. Just paused it and moved forward. The majority of the install is in the video the rest is easily figured out as you go along.

Justin

This is my first complete resto as you can probably tell ha ha. I've worked on these things my whole life though. I have a few things I have redone that I've paid for too on this one, thank god I pulled my car out of the other paint shop. The guy is a friend of mine which made it that much worse I left on good terms but redid body work and paint peeling off that wasn't prepped right. my seats are questionable also, I think were just to damn picky for today's crowd. I did have a redo on my part when I somehow messed up my core support, thank you Showard for the numbers on everything to get me squared back up! by the way Your airplane projects are way cool! wish I had the know how for that. but press forward Justin and don't let anyone bring u some junk!!
Don

Friends and working on your stuff can be a challenge at times. Most times I shy away from that....As far as picky goes...I am on top of that list.

Love the last four words in your post....the one whom coined that phrase gave me some junk...lol

Justin

Justin, those seats look really nice. However, if you are going to let some of your FBBO buddies ride back there you're going to need more wire reinforcement.

Thanks Roger....When it comes to the backseat in the X...there is NO buddy allowed back there...lol....

You know I spent about 8 hours Saturday and about the same Sunday....A big portion of that time was threading the wire through the burlap. I would guess 4 hours overall doing that. My right hand, man the joints and muscles are very sore. I couldn't imagine doing this for a living even though the more you do the faster/better you get. You have to get your whole body involved stretching the vinyl. I have a lot of respect for the shops doing it right and the folks doing it at home...

Puts things in perspective when it comes to the amount of time and dedication involved to get things right! All jokes aside....

People don't realize the time involved until you have to do it yourself once. And rarely does it go as quick or smoothly as anticipated! Good work Justin.

Very true words indeed.....The smoothness came from the Legendary Video's....So thankful they took the time to compile those!

Justin

Wow Justin. Those came out great. I'm sure there were a few good cuss words flying a round the shop. Hopefully your getting a decent refund due to their screw ups.

Thanks! If you can believe not a word flew....I had some lemonade Ice Tea handy the radio was playing classic rock and I was just working away and taking pictures. The process has started.......We will see what happens...

You should tell Sue about the problems. If she did the covers shame on her. If an employee did it she should talk to the person. Letting it slide helps no one.
Love watching your progress.

Where did I say I am letting it slide? In order for me to bring things to the table I have to provide proof....When did you think that happened? By visually imagining what was done...Or as I have shown upon when I dismantled everything......I am not even done dismantling everything yet....

I have a zero tolerance for shotty work and hidden surprises....but time is on my side.....

Just got caught up. The seats look great Justin! Not too bad to do right, too bad a pro shop has a tough time figuring it out. I redid the burlap on one bucket and the threaded wire is a pain alright.
