Booked an appointment for my 2011 f-150 ecoboost last week for 7am. Oil change and check the back-up sensors as they were not working.

Dropped off the truck at 7am today. Told the guy I needed the truck back by 2pm. He told me "they were busy and might not get to the electrical on the sensors.". I said " that's fine, just get me the oil change and I'll worry about the sensors next time"

I said " btw u guys should reccomended that when sensors fail the idiot beeper should go off non stop to notify the driver. Not just say failure on the screen... That u don't watch when ur backing up"

He said "those are a luxury and that's the way they are. And u shouldn't depend on them" - FAIL

Ffwd to 2pm... I call for my truck

Your truck isn't gonna be ready til end of day... Even tho u have an appointment there is no guarantee that we will get u in... - FAIL

U kidding me... What a F 'in dousche

Just needed to rant

there has to be more than one dealer in calgary. also would unload on the service manager and owner.

A friend of mine is the sales GM at the dealership. He sold me on the truck. I wanted the Ram, but, wife said it was too muscular and big. So went with the F150 as we were buying it to drive the little guy around and i'd have to share with her. She won't drive it to this day because its "too big" women... Lmao.

Wanted to tell him my beef... But, friends don't complain to friends.

if he is a good friend i would let him know the circumstances so he can fix it due to other customers being treated the same. at least you will probably be back due to the connection. others won't.

My best friend is a Ford dealer so naturally I buy Ford products from him, whenever I have a service issue I remind him that his sales force sells the first car to a new customer but the service department sell all the rest of them ( or not).
I would talk to the Owner and tell him you will give him a chance to make it right before you file a formal complaint with Ford. Ford is really pushing to improve the service experience so a direct complaint really stings the dealer.

Good to know.

I am trying to exercise my responsibilities to being a polite consumer. But I agree there should be a mentioning of my issue with the dealer.

When you purchase a new truck. Are tires not also under warranty? I have a leak in one of the tires and they wanted to bill me 55$ for a leak repair. Get this. The check sheet they give you at the end of the day was almost completely filled out and the car had not even made it on a hoist yet. Tranny, engine, exhaust leaks... good. Brake pads. 12mm remaining. Oil life meter 100%. Lmao. Does that really save time checking off the tasking sheet and resetting my oil gauge.

Might try a different dealership next time around.
