I was over a friends house and he wanted to sell his 65 Coronet 440 wagon.
Needs floors, rear wheel arches, hit on 1 back corner, floors rusted, smells very moldy...leopard skin door panels, was a SB, 3 spd. column car, now NO engine, 904 trans with hurst floor shifter. 8.75 rear (741??) probably open.

No title. He's said he wants $`1500. YIKES! I was thinking $400!

He's on the cronick big time. I don't know if it's worth 400.00. If you're going to restore it is not worth a whole lot when done unless it was a hemi car or a 4spd. My 2 cents.

The complete grill was perfect, the 8.75 was usable, so were some of the parts.
I was disappointed to say the least....

What? No pics of the leopard-print door panels? Those alone raise the value, what, about two bucks;maybe three? Those are his bargaining chips...

I think '65s did come with a 741 rear;if I'm wrong(or mistaken;not sure which),the more knowledgeable here will inform you. And me...

i know the previous owner and he has some more parts for the car in my basement

You could try giving him a cheque.......with the decimal point moved one space to the left.

Tell him you will haul it away if he pays you $400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EVerything is fixable....but the hardest thing to correct in NJ is "no title".

used to be registered...i could help with title

Not worth $1500! maybe a couple of hundred is all.A parts car is all you'd have

It's pretty much worth what you're willing to pay. Pics are really required here though. I bought a '65 Coronet wagon a few years back with a descent more door parts car for $1200.00 and I felt o.k. with that. It had a pretty descent body but the usual destroyed interior. I ended up trading a buddy straight across for my '64.

What are your intentions with this car? If your looking to build a trailer queen (I know your not) then this probably is a bad place to start. It might be a good candidate for a daily driver though.

The more B-body wagons back on the road the better if you ask me.
