Just got alignment on 66 belvedere drove great on way home.Put up on lift to check power steering leak and know the toe-in is so bad you can see the tires pointing in.What could have happened?
Are you saying with the car on the ground again the toe is way off? If so, then the upper control arm eccentrics moved or something. Check and see if the 3/4 nuts are loose on them
You have to be sure that everything else is in good order. Slop in any component stacks-up, and multiplies as it reaches the wheel. The alignment will look off on a lift. It will still look off if the car is just set on the ground from a lift. Drive and re-check. A good shop would have inspected the front-end and told you they couldn't align it due to any worn components. Shame that there aren't that many good shops anymore.
Took car for ride today after installing front strut bushings-everything seems to be fine. All it needed was to drive for a while.Feels great to drive again! Now all I have to do is fix leaking steering box.
