Everything is on backorder right now. We just have to work through it.

That's called the 1st backorder. You're going to get more notices after you order the parts. Unfortunately, depending on payment method, you may be charged at the time you place the order.

Sooner or later yo uwill get them.

That's everywhere. between covid, people noy working 100 ships with 500,000 containers waiting to unload. i have an order with summer est. Jan15th classic industries the same.

Might try contacting SCE directly to see if they can find it in stock at one of their distributors for you.

More truckers would help, more made in USA is the answer imo!

No comment, or this will get jettisoned into the political forum immediately.

Made in USA:
We manufacture and distribute SCE Gaskets from our facilities in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee and Spencer, Iowa. Shipping to warehouse distributors, retailers, engine builders and performance enthusiasts throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and Puerto Rico.

DOT in each state should extend the hrs of service and up the weight limits for awhile.
Upping the weight limits isn’t a good idea. I work in the transportation industry and manage a shop that fixes semi trailers everyday. Overloading trailers will only cause them to get damaged and repairing trailers right now is a pain in the *** because of parts shortages.

I have to disagree about the extending the hours of service. 11 hours of driving is more than enough, anymore than that and safety becomes an issue. What they need to do is put a pause of up to 2 hrs. during the work day. That way, when we are stuck waiting to load/unload for hours and hours, we don't run out of time.

Paul I understand what your saying about safety.
We used to run longer than we should have.

Prob just like everything else, just a shortage of qualified help / drivers.
I still look at the driver wanted adds lol.
There are many openings right now.
Around here at harvest they give the grain haulers another 5 ton.

I agree with the weight increase. I believe that containers are already allowed an increase. Some of those containers weigh 70,000lbs.
I worry that they are going to lower the age from 21 to 18, which is going to destroy the industry, not to mention make our Interstates even more dangerous.

Ordered a new dash wiring harness a few days ago. First vendor was backordered, no delivery date. Second showed it in stock but hasn't shipped yet so I fear the worst there...
