69 Charger 440. Changed tank, line and pump. Do I just crank until it draws fuel to carb, or is there a way to prime line to avoid extended crank time?

Prime the carb with a catsup squirt bottle and fuel through the vent on top of carb. You might have to repeat a few times but it will be easier on the starter.

I recommend you remove the catsup and rinse the bottle before you put the fuel in, just say'in...

I use a plastic olive oil bottle. I give each vent a good 1/4 of the bottle squirt and she usually fires on the first crank after a long winters sleep.

Use spray carb cleaner. Spray a bunch in and it will prime after one or two times, Safer starting fluid.
I use it on my 440-6. The crap fuel evaporates after a week or 2. Carb cleaner and it fires right up.

I disconnected fuel line at carb, used syringe to send fuel down to pump to get diaphram wet, connected line, primed carb bowls, cranked with "not normal" wiring setup, and once 6 psi fuel pressure (nice to have gauge in-line, let me tell ya!!), flipped on "not normal" (PINEY!!) ignition, engine started 1st crank after 4 years. GOOD LUCK & enjoy the sound of it FIRING UP!!

If you have fuel evaporation issues, a inline pump and a momentary pushbutton switch works great to prime the carb.
