I recently picked up a Holley 950. It needed a kit and a cleaning at it has been preserved pretty well. I through a good cleaning to it with Berryman chem dip and good old fashioned hot water after. Used compressed air to blow it all out.
Fast forward couple days when we through it on the new engine. The 512 stroker. Once we got the bowls filled and fuel flowing, the motor fired up. Adjusted the idle and air mixture screws. Once we settled the idle, on one of the boosters, we could see fuel holding in the middle if the booster. When we hit the throttle, the squirter shot fuel but seemed like it was adding a second shot. I've never seen this before. It was only on the front drivers side booster. All the others were fine. I figured one or two things.. 1. The carb has adjustable air bleeds and they are the wrong size 32's and 72's. Or I didn't clean it as well as I could have and it has a plugged line somewhere.
I'm not a carb guy. I'm learning but not fast enough apparently! I know holley's can be tricky at times, I thought I'd turn here to see if anyone had run into this before. I do not have a video of this happening. The carb is off the car right now. I lan to set it up the same as the 850 that is on it now and go from there. Once that is done, I'll put it back on and see what happens. I will take video to show if it happens again.
Any thoughts! Anyone seen fuel hanging in a booster?
Here's a pic of the carb.
Thanks!

I did a YouTube search. I didn't find exactly what it's doing but close. This also isn't the exact carb.
When they open the throttle and the squirter start to dump fuel to the booster. One can see the booster hold the fuel. When they release the throttle the squirter stops and the fuel drains out of the booster. In my situation that fuel in the booster never drains out. It stays there even when goes back to idle. Hope this helps clarify..
