Please help me trouble shoot. I turn the key and get nothing. I have as 1970 rt charger I fully restored. It was running before I started restoration. Engine was rebuilt and most of my parts, just prefaced gages and connected all wiring. We turned the key and nothing. Please let me know what I should check so I can develop a check list to figure out the problem. Thanks

You'd need to post more details. Have you got power? Is the car auto, and neutral safety messed up? Ammeter?

Is the one terminal on the starter relay grounded or going through the neutral safety switch?

I got it started by putting in a carter electric fuel pump and bypassing the mechanical pump. I have a rebuilt Holley carb and the rebuilt engine sounds and runs great when it is in idle but as soon as I put it into drive or reverse and put on the gas it dies. We saw some dirty fuel go into my glass filter but it has to be something else. I can drive the car if hold one foot consistantly on the gas and the other on the brake. Any ideas for diagnosing. We wired the fuel pump switcho the fuse box for my assesory so hen I turn key a quater turn,
it comes on. Thank for your help
