Future engine for 64 Sport Fury. 383? 426 Wedge? 440?

Stroked 440 with ported 440Source Stealth heads dressed as a 426 Max Wedge with crossram if money isn't too tight.

My question is what are your real intentions with the car ?? Just a cruiser ? Or do you want all the power you can get for the bucks you have and plan to race it some ? Or just a car show car ? I ask because to me it has alot to do with what eng I would use and how I would build it.

Ron, would like to end with a cruiser with some some "guts". Working towards a "above average driver" not a show car. After reading the suggestions I'm leaning towards the 383 (the stroked idea is interesting) or the 440 dressed as a 426.
I pulled up your link on the 62-65 Mopar site...you have an awesome car! Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Yep, A stroked 400,in a 64 Fury. Looks like factory stock 383 and ran 12.60's in full street trim.Automatic with 3.73 gears. Food for thought..
