I have a 67 Belvedere with a 318 and a gas tank that was replace a couple of years ago. When I pump gas the pump stops every 15 seconds or so despite the fact that the tank is not full. I'm assuming this is some type of ventilation issue. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any idea how to fix it?

that has been a feature of the late B bodies as well; my 76 Charger my 75 Cordoba (dont have either any more) and my 78 Sport Fury (that I do still have) all do the same thing.
After it clicks off I can still get another 2+ gallons in. and that's w/o even trying to fill it to the tippy top (which I don't do)

my 70 road runner does that too. dont bottom out the nozzle in the gas tank filler neck.
it has to breathe. gas goes in....air has to come out or the handle will click off!

i manually fill my tank( i dont use the stay-puttttie thingy on the handle )....YEAH I SAID STAY-PUTTTTIE THINGY.....OK

just insert the handle all the way in then back it off about 2 inches and fill the tank.

this has been a public service announcement from your friends at GASISTOOFRIKKINHIGH.COM

I'm very fond of the STAY-PUTTTTIE THINGY.

Fire department went around and made a bunch of the gas stations remove them.
The town threatened to burn down all of the firehouses so they relented and said the gas station could put them back on.

There are some stations that never put them back on so I don't go to those stations.

(I exaggerated about burning down the firehouses)

Pretty common deal and on the 66-67's, it seems they are worse since they have a couple of tight turns in the fill line going into the tank......and yeah, like mentioned above, pull the nozzle out a bit and see how it goes or just set the 'stay puttttie thingy' on about 3/4 full and see if that helps.

they are soon to remove the stupid rubber vent covers on the nozzels thank god!new studys show they dont do nuthin,so off they will come.then your problem will go away.it happens because the early tank designs dont vent fumes fast enough.

i like the STAY-PUTTTTIE thingys too...but they dont work filling the Road Runner .
