God-Speed Boo....

What an absolute beautiful girl, you were both blessed to have each other. If humans were anywhere near as loyal as dogs! Rest in peace sweet Boo, you will see each other again someday! Condolences Sir!

sad days indeed.......very sorry to hear this. I feel your pain :(

I did it 3 weeks ago, mentioned it in wacko's thread...... one of the worst days of my life,

RIP Boo and Raven........

Sorry for your loss of family member, we know how it feels.

Thanks again. It's my belief, that the profound grief we feel when losing one of our furry friends, is our payment for the unending, unconditional love and joy that they give us in such a short period of time. Nothing matches it, or is so pure. Animals are innocent and joy.

So sorry for your loss. I been there a few times, never easy. Rescued dogs seem to have a sense that they've found a permanent home, they seem grateful if that's possible.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Sorry Mike, very sad.
I would rather put people down than dogs

BOO was lucky to have someone like you. Not everyone would make the effort and take the time. You gave BOO the home she deserved. That's why she loved you so much.

mmissile-- try out "So Far Away" by Dire Straits on youtube... The rainbowbridge gets closer every day..

Well. Not sure what this means, but to each his own I guess. Maybe some therapy needed here.

I took one of my dogs to the vet today. One of my rescue dogs, about 10 years old, 3rd time in the last few months. Concluded that his days are numbered, not sure how numbered.
Don't envy your position, I will probably be in your shoes.

I am sorry for your situation. My old girl, a rescue mutt of 13 years, had multiple recurring health problems the last several years of her life. But she was "my old girl" who had gone through some tough times with me and always stood side-by-side, ever loyal. HARDEST thing I've ever had to do was to make that decision. Two years on now, I still tear up when I look at photos of her. God bless.

Sorry to hear that. Two years. Still fairly recent. Have you adopted a new dog?

I have. I said that I wouldn't get another dog in order to spare the pain of what I went through with my first, but I found another rescue 3 months after I had to let my old girl go. She looks just like the first one except friskier because of her disposition...a 60 pound, 4 year old Lab, Chow mix. She's her own dog in her own right. I just have to tell you though, there are dogs and then there are dogs. One, only one, in my humble opinion ever comes into your life and, not to sound corny, puts paw prints on your heart. I love the dog I have now, but I know what the other one meant to me. I trust that it is the same that you are dealing with now with your old boy. When the time comes, do the right thing for him, not for yourself. He is trusting on you to make the right decision.

Sorry for your loss, been there myself. its just like losing one of the kids ( George was 16 owned since a pup )

I've had several dogs, and almost every time I think that the next dog will never be as good as the previous, I'm wrong. Not every dog is the one. But my experience is half of them are.
The dog of mine that's I'll isn't the best dog, but he's a loyal farm dog and has more than earned his place in my heart
