Hello everyone,
I am interested in purchasing a RV 440/727 combo on Craigslist to swap into 318/904 1971 Charger.
It would be the engine and transmission connected to the frame. The other is for sale, but I believe the transmission hooked up to it is one that is not meant for cars. Either one would be fine, but I think the one on the frame would be ideal.
The seller says that the motors are out of RVs and that they were running when they were pulled out of the vehicles.
The 727 transmission bolted to the engine is one meant for cars from what the seller told me.

What do you guys think of using an RV 440 to swap into my car?
The seller said that he is asking $600 for the 440 and 727.
Good/Bad price? What is a fair price to pay for a combo like this?
Also, I have read that these engines can sometimes be a 413 that is not so good. Is there a possibility that these might not be 440s? Is there a way to identify if they are 440s?
Thanks everyone!
