I am looking for a good 440 block w\main caps or a rebuildable engine, short-block etc in VA...

Seems all the ones advertised in VA people think are Gold or the ones at a good price are a 1,000 miles away.

Edit: i'm planning on building a high torque stroker for a 4x4 truck which is a daily driver, used for towing, hauling, and playing off road.

I am also interested in a BB 727 trans housing as well.

Thank you,

Not certain why my original message isn't showing up so here it goes again:

I check CL everyday and they rarely pop-up and the last block I saw close by the guy wanted $750 for it and it was a nothing special block. I see them offered on here, A-body forums and Moparts but they are normally to far away.

How far are you from Fredericksburg or Richmond VA?

Thanks

Im in Baltimore. Just pulled the 440 out of my 87 ram. It was running. Going to a 360 with a 46rh trans. It has the rear sump oil pan on it and truck motor mount brackets. And truck headers. I want to keep the valve covers. Have a 727 that i took out of a 70 fury cop car. 600 for both. Depending on what you want to do i have other items.
