Goop. What most would call gasket cement.
Some gaskets like the water pump cover seem okay being naked, or having a bit of grease to hold them in place.
But, the rocker covers need something to hold them in place.
The head gaskets need?? And the sump or pan gaskets might like something different. So too the stock exhaust manifolds. And the inlet manifolds. I have the white stuff for the bolts that go in to the water passages, like the water pump bolts, the exhaust manifold bolts, and the head bolts. Engine is a 77 318.
Any words of wisdom to share please. I got some new exhaust valves for RockAuto last week, and should be ready to bolt it together in about 3 weeks.
