Got 5 years before I hurt it.

I'm very happy with what it has done. Now I need to order a fab oil pan!Block sitting real nice!! Front of block lowered 4 inches and is still like 3* up.Block moved back 2 inches. Now I need to pull the steering column and trim the bottom of the tube.I'd like to do a removable steering wheel like DVW and change the steering shaft to CM tube:thumbsup: Will have more pics tonight,,,,,,,,,,,

Well I was asked where MY build thread was,it was back there. Now that the power is where I want it,the time has come to lose a few more lbs and give the interior a face lift. The wife and daughter decided what to do with the door panels and new seat overs with MORE foam for the tushies.Took the belts out,the seats, the brake and clutch pedal assembly and the cast iron master.

The carbs were sent back to Pro systems for some upgrades and modifications. The cast master will be replaced with a Strange aluminum unit.
I traded my 63 shifter column for a 64 auto column. The column will be sliced and dice for a few ounces with a chrome moly tube instead of the solid shaft. The bottom of the column might be trimmed back almost to the firewall.I was readin about a bearing the that fits inside the column tube that tha shaft will go through. It will make it very sturdy!

This time I have professsional do the door panels and install the carpret I bought from Stock intriorors.
Last time I bought a new carpet and installed it myself,by the 2nd cut in the rear for the roll cage I didn't like the way it looked, but I lived with it.It was horrendous but it was not nice and clean. The seat covers are done and the door panels should be done next week. Now I just have to finish the fabrication of an aluminum brake pedal.
After I removed the seats I was able to get my old *** under the dash to remove the brake/clutch assembly to eliminate the clutch pedal that has been there since 1963.I found that the clutch assembly simply bolts onto the brake assembly bracket. Then the cross bolt that both pedals pivot on goes through the both,,side to the other side.

I need to find the time to go pick up the 64 column so I can take it apart and figure out how to do what I have in mind. The part that stick out in the engine compartment has to be trimmed back, maybe all the way to the firewall.I saw a coo; bearing on another thread that fits into the outer tube with a 1 inch hole for the steering shaft to fit through as the stock one was just PLASTIC!:screwy:
I found the tread! I will wait untill I have the 64 column apart to verify the size:thumbsup:

Does anyone have pics of the upper column apart? Looking for a sneak peek as it what I'm getting into. Will use CM tube for the shaft and add a removable steering wheel. It's getting harder to climb outta the car and I don't want a swing out bar!
