My buddy did it to his 69RR last year. Looks great... legal here.... no clue.....
 
Red is a no no as well.

Some states yo cant do amber.

In FL you can do green and thats about it.

the first try I did too many coats, so I redid it with 2 light coats.

As far as Legality...in NJ having QQ or antique plates, no inspection necessary.
 
what did you use to take it off and re-do it? acetone?
 
i like the look of the blues
somewhere in my stash of junk i have a brand new set of ambers in the box
they are probably over 30 years old

In socal they will just pull you over and write you up.
 
I think you did the lense that are on when they are on bright. The outside lens is on when dim, and bright. colored lens does look cool. Years ago I had a street car that the inside lens had been wired up for dim. Looked BA and started a trend around here.
I did a little different treatment on my inside lights. The outside lights still do an adequate job at night. ..........................................MO
