Graveyard Carz Fall 2015

after reading all the comments or a lot. It occurred to me that I for one watched the show for all the wrong reasons. I watched hoping to see tips and watch remarkable cars....reality now.....Its a reality show...just like the others and are for entertainment only. I've picked up more from forums such as this and solved a lot of problems over the years. Talked to some really great folks willing to share VALUE from their experiences. If I want entertainment that means I'm bored and a good movie will do.

Not their fault I had the wrong expectations.

Watched a recent re run last night and i was disappointed. I understand to a degree there has to be some drama but the show's producers should realize that car guys,in particular Mopar guys are watching this show and not into the BS that seems to be a part of the show..
I have to agree with bkleenfitx, its a reality TV show for mostly entertainment

i've also been watching this show for the wrong reasons. I expected to learn from this program and not for entertainment. So much for expectations.

I remember those cars. Anyone know what happened to them? I did hear the GTX ended up stolen or something of the sort.
Back in the early 90's I new a couple of guys that had a Mopar resto shop down the street and around the corner from where I lived. They finished this car (numbers matching 4 spd), loaded it in a trailer and drove 10 hrs to the Mopar Nat's in Columbus. Unloaded it, cleaned of the trailer dust so to speak and off to the judges. they crawled all over that car like ants!!! As I recall the only thing wrong with the car was the incorrect time on the clock. The car was perfect right out of the box and best of class!!!

I think that Mark taking care of the issues is the most important thing not how he does it!

Actually I would be concerned with how he does it. Since the repairs "should" be on his time (since it wasn't done correctly or checked before leaving for the owner), why wouldn't he want to rush it through? After all, doesn't time = money? So yes, him fixing it is important, but HOW he fixes it should also be more important. The fact that it wasn't done correctly the first time would make me a little leery.

I've actually been enjoying the show a little bit more so far. It's plain to see that some of the editing is out of sequence, but in the most recent episode, you could see that they hung the driver's door on new unpainted hinges. In the next clip, the fender was on. Do I correctly assume that they finished the hinges?

I'll just leave this steaming pile here DSCN3434.jpgDSCN3417.jpgDSCN3418.jpgDSCN3419.jpgDSCN3420.jpgDSCN3421.jpgDSCN3422.jpgDSCN3423.jpgDSCN3424.jpgDSCN3425.jpgDSCN3426.jpgDSCN3427.jpgDSCN3428.jpgDSCN3429.jpgDSCN3430.jpgDSCN3431.jpgDSCN3432.jpgDSCN3433.jpgDSCN3416.jpg

I assume nothing plus I don't watch the show! I am usually on the lower level play pool or watching Chip Foose reruns.

This is not even in the category of....Amateur. There was no "Love" or "Pride" put into this so called restoration.

It is a very good thing the superbird is WHITE!

Just imagine all the errors/mistakes you cannot see!
