Graveyard Carz Fall 2015

it must have been very exciting and fun to put your car under that kind of scrutiny.....how did it do?
The scrutiny never stops! Your not the only one to have their car dragged over coals....

Even at local shows that happens. That is the way society is today.

For a diehard OE person as myself, whom by the way drives them, the national shows are a learning curve on OE standards. You may have perfection and then one tire rim is date coded wrong for the car etc.......Sounds simple but affects he score.

As far as how well my cars placed, they consistently place well whenever I take them out of hibernation.

My placement is of no matter here nor do I need to reinforce my ego!

You Made The Statement, Not Me........

Back to the original stement you made about putting your car up against anyone.

Take it to one, it will open your eyes.......You said you would go up against anyone..........................

I think you took my question the wrong way..I was just curios how you did. As for my car I really don't care if the date code is wrong on the rims. Its a numbers matching Hemi charger that has been in my family since 1972,what I meant is that I would park it next to anyones and be totally proud of it....Its gonna be driven and enjoyed!

Its never too late, all the issues are being taken care of and I would put my car up against any ones!! Have you seen all the cars they put out in person? I made the right decision sending my car there, to get a nut and bolt restoration for the price I paid I am happy so far.. If the issues don't get resolved for some reason I will let you know. If I were you I wouldn't send anything there...then again they might not want it.

I have not seen every single car that Graveyard Carz has put out. However I have seen at least 8 of them and they ALL exhibited sub par restoration work.

If you feel you made the right decision, then congrats. I hope it holds up to your expectations and you have no surprises.

I would expect that for as long as GYC. Has been doing this that there would be zero or at the least the very minimal stuff that would need to be corrected. Yes, I can see something like a mechanical or electrical part going bad but to have to bring something back cause of shoddy gaps or even an unsightly line that isn't supposed to be in the vinyl top, well, that says nothing about the rest of their work if you can't get the basic stuff done right the first time!

To be honest with you guys I could care less what you guys think, I was stuck in my office today and I was bored.I do think that a lot of you guys have great cars there are just to many people on this forum that just like to complain! Thanks for getting me through a Friday!!

IMO or merely just criticize, even constructively & just opinions in some cases,
some aren't complaints or even attacks, some are merely just correct information too... :headbang:

I enjoy the information of the show.I am a big fan of the cars and the history behind them.Yes I agree he D-bags it up for the camera a little much but I am sure I would *** out too if I was getting paid to act stupid and build badass cars. When I build them I use mostly aftermarket parts and I like to modify them from the way they came from the factory so I do know what its like to have your car picked apart or not liked. I like all the cars here on the forum.Stock or modified.I agree that I have seen photos of there work and it doesn't look good. But I haven't seen any up close so I really wouldn't know.

worman is so pathetic can't even get the easy trivia questions right!
i feel sorry for anyone wanting factual information from that clown!

his question was
what years were wheel well moldings standard on all road runners??
His answer was ALL 71-74 road runner came standard with wheel well moldings..

WRONG!
try again poser! lol

I watched a few minutes of an episode yesterday and Worman said something that caught my attention. He was talking about an old restoration on a Coronet and saying how hard it was to do a resto back then because they had lots of NOS parts but nothing like all the parts we have today or some stuff like that. Then he starts tapping the dash and saying how it's hard plastic because that's all that we had t work with back then.

Hate to tell him but the PVC caps are very recent. Back in the 1980s and 1990s all we had for dash caps was those horrible carpet-looking covers. You either found a good vinyl pad or you went the carpet route.

I'm surprised that he didn't reach out to one of his buddies to get a correct dash pad! Lol. After all he has tons of sponsors and people that he advertises for.

I'm gonna put my 3 cents (inflation) in on the new GYC season. I've owned nothin' but Mopars for the last 45 yrs. I've had a 68 GTX since '74 and drive a 97 SST. I would record all the shows last yr. so I could zip thru the commercials and Worms 'I are smart" b/s. I liked Darren and his sarcastic humor (yeah, I know, since f/b (be nice) we're a dyin' breed) cuz it made Worms b/s almost bearable. I thought Josh was a good kid who wanted to learn and wasn't afraid of hard work. I watched about 10 min. of the new season and can sum up my thoughts in 2 words: It Sucks! The Worm is a ******** who can dish out abuse to his 'employees' but sure as hell can't take it! Darren was a buffer between the Worm and his bullying of everyone else. Now, he put his airhead daughter on the payroll and she has the personality of a rock. She's an example of what messes up a decent show, for some reason they feel the need to put on a airhead floozy to bring in more viewers. (must be Joshs' baby, huh?). Judging by some of the comments on here, it's working. If I wanted to look at some dizzy blondes I'd get the playboy channel! I'll just stick with a Real car/custom show and continue to watch Full Custom Garage instead of the Worms 'I are smarter than you' show!

Is this the right place to talk about this season's episodes?:confused2:

I noticed on the most recent episode that when Mark was talking to his daughter, he referred to her "ex significant other" - meaning Josh, I suppose. Are they split up?
