Graveyard Carz Fall 2015

Hey guys, some great discussion here. Just so you know, the first episode was pretty dry - and we knew that it would when we made it. There was a huge change. I'm sure if you had employees, and then hired someone new, it would feel awkward at first. That's perfectly natural and it's okay that some people felt that way. That's why we made the decision to essentially make the first episode a "Mark" episode - because everyone knows who Mark is and hopefully by now, you are familiar with him.

What's interesting is how cut and dry some people are. "Show was dry so I've taken it off my DVR. You've lost this viewer!". Well, that's a bit extreme; especially when many people preface their statements with that they've watched the show since the beginning. Or the people who say "Who wants to see Allysa holding a baby the entire episode." To clarify, she was holding her newborn daughter for less than a minute in the last 45 seconds of the episode. It makes me laugh thinking about how that same bizarre mentality applies to these people's day-to-day lives. For now, we'll just chalk that up to the mysteries of making television.

Anyways, this new season is pretty kick-***. Will and Mark have some hilarious moments AND they put together some of my favorite cars yet. We even have an entire episode where Tony from Tony Mopar Parts and Mark nerd out over a white Hemi Charger and a Charger Daytona. Will isn't a new employee as he's worked for Mark four different times and was around before Daren or Josh were on. Dave, our newest technician, he's just like all of you. Just a normal guy who works on his various Mopars. He applied for the job on Facebook, was hired, uprooted his family and moved from Montana to Oregon just to be a technician. He turned out to be so great explaining some of the intricate details of the restorations, he became a cast member. Allysa is on the show because Mark has felt distant from his daughter and for the first time, she wants to learn. (I'm not sure if anyone here is a father, I'm sure some of you can relate to that). And for those who can't stand Mark, stop looking at it as if he's being an asshole because he's mean spirited. He's just trying to be his own version of David Brent/Michael Scott, which is to come across as an butthead to make you laugh - so if you take him seriously that's on you. :p

Everyday I come into work, he says "how you doing you son-of-a-b!tch" and I respond with "Better than you, ***-crack ears." We laugh and we go about our day. It's that kind of friendship that makes it worth going to work everyday.

Hope some of you give us a few episodes before you decide to tune us out. And just so you know, I'm not Mark.

Thanks for the warm welcome. As far as who I am, I'm just one of the nobodies behind the camera that helps get the show made. Love the cars, their history, but my passion is film-making.

I'll just stick with watching Wheelers Dealers. I've still learned more about working on cars from that show than anything else on TV.

Sonny says the show is ugly..........

................. BUT he can't look away!......
:icon_shaking2:--->YET TO MISS A SHOW, lol...

MOPARS are our common denominator!

I decided I'll keep watching it. What's first and foremost is Mopars. We will have at least two more years of GYC after this season is over, Mark told me this himself when I messaged him telling him I thought this would be his last year on air b/c people liked the drama Daren and Josh brought. He said I'm in the minority, lol.

he's wrong , and of course thats what he's going to say . BTW he fired them by text message and the great painter quit right after that because of how bad that whole situation was .

Wow - this post is better than watching The View, DWTS, and Kim K - **** I just realized participating in this post, I'm not getting any work done on my 66 Belv!!!

You know, I was fired from my job over the phone once. I lied to my boss, told them I was sick, and I was really at a party and when my boss called my parents, found out that I was lying, he called me up on the phone and fired me. Now this was before text messaging was really a thing - but if you can take a moment and realize this: Daren and Josh were both having a heated conversation with Mark through text. It went on for several hours. When Mark, ultimately the CEO and the boss, gets fed up and responds with "Well, I guess your fired then", he has every right to text that.

Now, were they officially fired by text? No way. Is it what Daren and Josh will tell you how they was fire - heck yes - why wouldn't you? A disgruntle employee will also use whatever little thing he can to try and sway public opinion. What he WON'T tell you is Daren was offered to be a part of this new season but he refused, stating "He'd rather rub Mark's name through the mud"; we spent so much time on Daren that Josh just moved on with his life. Concerning the parts on Daren's car, he was told when the parts would be taken off of it and he was okay with it (people forget that Josh was sometimes the perp who would do it - but Daren always knew ahead of time), and when Daren decided to not return to the show this season - he was paid $35,000 cash for the car, and signed a hold-harmless. But even today, he tells folks that he's a victim. That's the game with Daren.

Derrick didn't quit because of how bad the situation was. He quit because he found another job closer to home and had more benefits which Mark couldn't meet. He waited an entire week for Mark to see if he could exceed the benefits the other job provided - that's not the actions of an employee who gives up because of "how bad the situation is".

I tend to believe them , because Mark has a habbit of no communicating when he says he will get back to people and he doesnt , then they find out infomation in the media . He lets other people do his dirty work instead of being Honest and up front . Now i see your just a troll her to pass info back to mark .

And the struggle continues doesn't it??? I have posted repeatedly my support for what Mark is trying to accomplish with his passion for MOPARS. I just wish the majority of "NAY-SAYERS" with their negativity would either shut the HELL up or provide to us what their solutions would be instead of their continual negativity. Too much of that takes place in the World all ready. I enjoy it all and learn a tremendous amount from tuning in each and every episode. And, if I were not all ready retired and getting longer in the tooth, I would be beating feet to his business in search of working there. Just me I know, but when a good thing happens it seems that the ridicule and complaints come forward. Keep it coming Mark as I am there with you. And to our new inside member, 4268Hemi, it is really a gas that those of us, that show a true interest in the show and what's it about, can enjoy what actually is going on from the side lines. Welcome to FBBO...cr8crshr/Tuck

dude your killing me LMAO

LOL... he indeed is making it better than the show itself. Like I said....watching other people make money is a waste of my time. With exception to the camera guy

Just got back from winterizing the GTX and tucked it away for the winter and my mail box is full of updates on this thread. Man "O" Man - the coming out of the perp, and just how serious the issues are @ GYC. Since American Chopper is gone we had to have something to replace it!!
