Did anyone notice after all of the BS yacking that Mark did about proper decal placement he blew the placement of the right side RR bird? Then, magically, it "moves" to the right spot!
I had to laugh.

Well spotted.

Saw that. When he was lining it up I thought, man that's way off. Then all of the sudden it's where it belongs. Guess he used the wrong side of the tape.

Love that TV magic.

Not surprised and why not admit that or edit that out? At least it was a decal and not something that is not easily replaceable....

I was too busy listening to his employee repeat the BS about the 1968 Roadrunner decals being black and white because Plymouth hadn't yet gotten permission to use the cartoon bird on the cars (like using a black and white would be legal and colored wouldn't). I heard Worman say this same nonsense on the show a couple of seasons ago.

The decals were black and white because Dick Macadam, the Styling Director for Chrysler-Plymouth Studios, picked those decals because they were the worst looking of the bunch. He objected to the application of a cartoon character on his cars, and wanted the worst-looking decal he could find to try to stop the effort. It had nothing to do with Warner Brothers.

It's a 4-speed car, all Mark did was put it in reverse to move the bird back.

Well no show is perfect, but at least there is one that is dedicated to Mopar. Hopefully everybody can enjoy the show to watch the cars come back to life even if they are not 100% perfect or accurate. Enjoy the New Year everyone!

Make no mistake, I still love the show and hope it continues for many seasons. I can tolerate Mark's tomfoolery since there is plenty of actual Mopar action as well.

I think they probably re-shot the application of the decal but the editing room screwed up.

Cheers!

Nice catch !!
BUT;
I "rarely listen too closely" or watch him {Mark} too closely
I do enjoy the rest of the cast & show usually thou...

I really liked the car and color combo though. For the most part I like the show, I can tolerate Mark's goofiness to a point, but that's what's nice about watching it on the DVR, I can fast forward past some of that stuff.

Well
Last night (04 Jan 2017) on the EV2 Six-BBL, Billboard stripe, N96, Phantom Cuda' Allyson and Will screwed up the Rt. side Bill Board minutes after Dave Worman did the left side at $200 a piece.
He mentioned a screw-up on the Bill Goldberg convertible GTX.....

Plenty of screw up's on that episode. Sloppy work and misinformation. Love the fact of setting rear end play by experience and with out dial indicators, that's professional indeed....

Before anyone chimes in and says "it's the only Mopar show" blah blah...We have heard that candy statement enough....

The most frustrating, infuriating car show on the tube - but I still watch it 'cause it's all about MOPARS. I usually "PVR" it, then watch later, that way I can fast forward through the b.s. Still, Worman & his whining buddy drive me nuts! Why in Hell can't they just concentrate on building MOPARS - they're pretty good at that. There, I feel better now......

Call me an idiot, I'm one of the clowns that truly enjoys the show moparnation74..
Probably because I am a poor mechanic, I do learn about stuff.
As for instance, setting that Axel in the Dana 60 yesterday.
I didn't know too much about that, and yes Mark Worman did mention "should use a Dial Indicator"

I just like the cars and Alyson his daughter (YES, that is how BORING and DULL my life is moparnation74...)

It is far better than the 1st 2 seasons at-least...

I just love to see the cars!
That EV2 Bill Board 6-BBL N96 Cuda, Phantom car is so darn gorgeous

I was watching last night when Worman was putting the billboards on the Cuda, and he lost me. I've put a LOT of decals and stripe sets on cars and I've never sprayed the soap/water solution on the decal. I've always sprayed the car. And I've never had an issue with the protective paper getting wet. It's going to get when as soon as you start using a squeegee to get the water out, so I don't get what Worman was fretting about.

I've installed decals also and have wet them when removing the backing so you don't have to worried about it sticking together ruining it. I've also had some 3M decals that if the backing paper got wet it made it stick and you couldn't remove it. To much drama for me to watch without. Fast forward and sound

Lots of commercials last night. I think I FFWD and it only took 30 min to watch.

When you do graphics or window tint you spray both surfaces typically. Can never have too much lube.

For those of you who don't like the show you can always turn the channel.

Ski, your many things but not that, lol....

It's not that I dislike the show. I enjoy the cars that are displayed and the walkthroughs on some of the assembly processes. Furthermore, Alyssa, Will, and the other employees are a joy to watch and hear their stories/learning curves.

I have stated many times(apparently you did not notice) this season has been an approvement with less Mark and more cars/staff. Much better than the previous seasons and with that being said and as I stated before. I hope the show improves by listening to the hobbyist's that support it. Problem is it started that way and now it is dipping back to previous season antics. So once you FF through the bs it equates to about half of an episode or less. It should be the opposite.....

So ski if you are able to discern what I like about the show....Me and you are on the same boring, dull...Life

Btw to the poster 69L48......I think everyone should express their opinion that is in decent taste and with constructive criticism. Is that not the nature of a Discussion in a thread?
