Did you guys see the hemi road runner with a column shifted 727 for sale that sold:)

I think their reserve was like $89k and they lifted it at 50k to see if that would jump start the bids, and I thnink the hammer fell around 54k.

What a steal, and these folks were 2nd owners, and car was theirs for 25+ years.

Then a few cars latter a nice clean 340 non-shaker 71 cuda goes for over 60k... go figure?

Anyway it was a screaming deal, and I bet next auction or at least in a year if the buyer is not a hard core mopar nut as many of us are sells that beast for 90k... man some folks got lucky on the buy, and the seller I am sure is in morning shock and dis-belief:werd:

It depends on what the car really was. If you go to some of those auctions you can see the cars for what they really are.

No it was a real deal car and it was a clean hemi orange runner. But I here where you are coming from.

Sometimes when I have been at mecum and Bjackson the high $$$ TV ctowd is not there and in the off times some cars are bid on poor luck of the draw setup and this stuff happens.

Eventhe tv host said the car was sold way way under.

There are not many colum shift hemi runners right...

I wonder if the seller is kicking himself for allowing the reserve to be dropped. They like to put the pressure on the seller as the bidding is under way. I don't know how many column shift cars were made but I didn't think they were that rare and the column shift is definately not desirable for any thing other than maybe being uncommon.

there is a 69 hemi road runner here in arkansas that was bought at barrett a few years ago originally a auto now a 4 speed super nice car numbers motor i think he gave around a $100,000 for it plus fees.
