My 1970 GTX turned 45 years old today, and I thought I would celebrate a little.... :headbang:

Very nice pictorial!
Holy Cow!
Great history there "kiwi"

I see a little "mid-life-crisis" there at one stage, 17?
Went RED!

And as they say: "45 is the new 5"

Yup, it looks brand new!

:bdayparty:

Great car and nice pics, Kiwi! Nice burnout, too! :3gears:

Nice car. I just purchased a 70 440 4sp super track pack GTX this week. It appears to be mostly stock, but will be needing some engine cosmetic stuff and some ralley dash parts. Any sources you could recommend?

Nice Birthday roaster video

That car just keeps getting better with age!

...wish I could say the same for me!

Ah the 70 GTX and Roadrunner body style is one I love and yours is a beauty ! I hope it had a great day and I think it may need valve seals. LoL ! Ron

Nice!! In 1980 I bought a 70 383 Challenger and kept it for 18 years. Had it 5 years before decoding it and that's when I found out it had been built on my birthday. Sold it why??? Nothing seems to make sense anymore. Paid 2000 for it and the paint looked new and still looked new in 98 when it sold.....burnt orange.

My Cuda was Sassy Grass and is probably why I typed it back then.

Must be a female car, changing " hair" colors so much !!!! LOL.

Happy B Day G !!!

I have just been able to score some pics from 1976-77 in racing trim....the guy who owned it then (Alan), once went to the same primary school as my father. I used the GTX for Alan's son's wedding around 2005, and once again Alan was able to sit behind the wheel of his old car.....brought a big smile and happy memories back that day. :hello2:

Love that purple/black combo. I also remember those days when rubber was cheaper. They sure we're fun - and the cops were more lenient. Although it's probably best they're not any more. Life is sacred..... But we sure had fun didn't we? Here's to the 60th bday!

Great pictorial history!
Those mags at 3 years of age, I want! (I believe US mags is reproducing them now, thankfully!)
Gorgeous car...keep the spirit alive.
