Hard Board Headliner;

There was some questions about original 62-63 headliners. Here is the original hard board headliner in my 62 Belvedere. It has plain plastic no chrome non painted bows with the acoustic hard board liner panels. The edge trim is all bright finish stainless steel. My Dad bought a new 1963 Ply Belvedere station wagon with this exact type headliner in it. I remember the salesman telling Pop that it was made with all the holes in it to deaden sound and make the cars quieter inside. Made sense.

I'm looking at one from Collectors Auto Supply Inc. made by R.E.M. it's hardboard and only comes in a off white. I contacted R.E.M. about sending me some detailed pictures. The picture of the material in the add looks like pegboard!

Well, talking with Kurt at R.E.M I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the set. They wanted more than Collectors Auto Supply so I bought from them instead. They are both in the same town, Annville Pa.
