Hardest decision of my life

Sorry for your loss. My dad just 62 we just brought back home and we are getting help from Hospice. Great people to work with and they were surprized he woke back up so we have a little time left with him.

Sorry for your loss,Our prayers are with you,and your family

Our condolences go to you and your family. It's never easy to lose a loved one no matter what the circumstances.....

:angel11:I'm sorry for your loss, He's with your mother now and they are looking down on you and your family.... Lost my father in 86 I think of him everyday just try to remember all the good times and they will be in your heart forever!!!!! GOD SPEED

This hurt to read because it sounds very similar to what I went throught in January w/ my Grandpa John. He was like a dad to me! This is the same path we went down...
Losing someone is very tough but focus on all your good memories & take comfort from people that care enough to express concern.
My ears are open if you ever want to chat!
I hope your dad gets some peace & you and your family make it through it too!

Well, tomorrow at 2;PM my Dad will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetary. My Mom had chosen to be cremated and was in my "care".I will finally have closure as Mom's remains have been placed in Pop's casket where they will buried together with the honer of a miltary funeral.

Sorry for your loss. Lost my 53 year old father to lung cancer last October. I was with him in the hospice center when he passed so he wasnt alone. I think of it as I had a great dad for the 30 years I've been alive. Taught me everything I know.

Its gonna suck for a while but keep your chin up.

May your Mom and Dad rest in peace.

Thanks alley and everybody else:icon_pray:When I brought my parents back to NY 3 years ago, they really didn't bring too much with them.Dad did not have a suit here,so,,,,I gave him mine along with my favorite tie.He sure looked good:icon_thumright:
When they started to play "TAPS" on the horn,I cried. When they handed me the FLAG, I was proud to be my fathers son.It now feels like a ton was lifted off my shoulders!!The roller coaster ride is OVER:hello2:

God bless you and your family. Yes, taps is the final straw at a funeral, not many leave without crying. My father was buried a couple years ago with honors also and no one got out dry eyed. During the cemetery service, an eagle circled right above for like 2 minutes. Pretty inspiring. Sounds like you had a great relationship with your parents.

Man, sorry to hear for your loss .... stay strong ... we will see all our loved ones again someday ! ...
