Hays flywheel vs stock issue ??

Yes, mine has the same spacer/pad as both of yours, but now I will have to add another. Where does your guys clutch forks sit in relation to fork opening in bell when completely assembled and ready for action ? I believe mine is stock '70 B body fork, and it sits very high in opening. Maybe around 1" at most from top of opening.

Yeah, mine sits high. Actually its the hole that's low !!

Mine is the opposite!

Hmmmm, I’ll have to take another look at mine. I know it’s not centered

I had it in my '69 Fury II in 1978 and it was used then!.. moved it to over my Bee in 1979.

Mine is rounded across top. Fork opening is basically square shaped with rounded corners, yours seems to be more upright rectangle. Z-bar stud mount on mine sits North-South. Formed differently around starter nose cone area. I see that even brand new Lakewood's have the 3 extended upper plate bolts that mine does not. Mine may be different manufacturer it seems.

Maybe. I'll have to dig around and see if I can ID it. Went on the HAMB, for a little bit last night, but no luck. Right now I am in the process of making the pivot spacer. Thankfully, I was able to remove pivot bolts through fork opening. Those bolts haven't been touched since at least '83-'84, but came out easily !

Well, made and installed clutch fork pivot bracket spacer, then found out (to actually no surprise at all) that I could not install the fork now due to lack of clearance between it and bell housing opening. Had to get in there with cut-off wheel and enlarge front of opening. JUST barely provided enough clearance to get fork in. All hooked up and ready to go. Fingers crossed now, that clutch hub doesn't contact flywheel or bolts during operation !!!

Ok, something ain't right ... even with a pivot spacer in there there should be plenty of room to get the fork in and for it to move through its arc. Time to post some pictures or just muddle away at it on your own.

The only thing "not right" is the f-in Hays **** flywheel. Would not have had any issues if I would have spent double the money and got a Centerforce . All good now. Fork sits in middle of bellhousing opening and I have perfect z-bar to fork clutch rod length/engagement. Absolutely no way was fork installation possible without enlarging opening, with my fork/bellhousing combo (whatever they may be) and my homemade spacer on top off existing spacer. Not my first rodeo.
