headers or manifolds

DONT BUY CHEAP HEADERS , Trust me I'v done it twice what a total waiste of money & time I had some hedmen shortys (JUNK) too thin of flange & constantly leaked even with thick aluminum gaskets , some Hooker Compation full length JUNK did'nt fit worth a crap a total pain in the neck had to pull motor to install , hammer in dents to clear torsion bars & other things , they also leaked & nearly melted my valve cover gaskets . look at other posts TTI , Dougs or eqivilant & they are not cheap I'v also read good reviews about Schumaker ( something like that ) there a tri Y & can be installed & removed fairly easy. I'm just back to my stock manifolds & to be honest I'm Happy with them
 
tti only sells Mopar stuff- that tells me something right there-they already know what we go through...cheaper in long run to buy quality parts once than cheap stuff 3/4 times.MHO

This is a good argument for stock manifolds.
 
I am in the same position.Wonder what kind of gain if you get the HP manifolds extrude honed?
 
I put Hooker super comps 5101's on my car, and although I haven't logged a lot of miles (2000 or so) i'm real happy so far. Noticeable increase in lower to midrange power. Just like a choir singing to me at 70 MPH.
 
Ive run hookers , hedmens tti , tti seem to fit the best and stayed looking making 825 hp good running 3 1/2 collectors to 3" pipe, x pipe / flowmasters a little frosting on the middle tubes but that was a tunning issue, its not easy tunning two 850 holleys on a 871 super charger tti step headers, good stuff Picture 390.jpgPicture 391.jpgcaridy5-R1-006-1A.jpg
