Looking for the right set of headers for my 1964 Sport Fury... has a 1969 440 in it and all stock exhaust... Need advice from my B-body folks out there for some good headers. Headers I won't need to hammer the crap out of to make them fit. Any good ones that we all know of? Need 1-7/8" primaries -

Id even buy a decent pair of used headers from someone if I knew they would fit. Have money, ready to buy!! Help?!?

I would buy Tti they will fit no hammering get ready to pay $$ but worth it

Doug's headers are more reasonably priced than TTI if looking for an alternative.
I have TTIs on the Belvedere, but a buddy really likes the less expensive Doug's on his Charger.

by many recommendations, i went with TTi 2 inch for my 65 coronet..i have not installed them or the engine yet for that matter.

i was told that the 2 inch headers fit better and than the 1 7/8s.

i have 2"tti's with their 3"exhaust; fits like a glove. the 1 7/8" tti's won't fit the early b-body.

Anybody have a set of used 2" TTI's they'd be willing to part with? Sounds like they are the ticket...

TTI. Deal with a Vendor here if you buy, don't buy direct. You will get a better deal and advice too.

I have TTI 2" on my '66 Satellite, perfect fit. 40 years ago I had 2" Hooker Comps (slip on collectors) on my '65 Coronet. Unfortunately the Hooker's are not the same these days. TTI's are good.

TTI's, for sure. They are the best fitting header that I have ever installed on any car, period. I have the 2" tube. image.jpgimage.jpg

TTI. Have them on my 62 Plymouth and they fit like a glove. Bought em used for $500 because the previous owner took a hammer to the pass side runner to clear his steering linkage. Mine has plenty of room.

I'm gonna be the spoiler here. I put Hedmans on my 64 Sport Fury about 12 years ago. They are 1 7/8. Had them ceramic coated. Fit well. Must run a mini starter. I can remove the starter by Unbolting the header from the head, and it will come out from the top. Best of all, they didn't cost a grand.

Another vote for Hedmans.

Fit perfect in my '63 with NO dinging or denting

I might have a set of 2" TTIs off my 65 Belvedere II, also a 3" X pipe. reducers also have bungs installed. They are not perfect, but very excellent shape for being about 7 years old. I am going to switch to Max wedge exhaust system. Not sure of price, but will be a lot cheaper than new.

Its not a factory color, infact, the body work is something Im not looking forward to - Its a fifty footer for sure. The original color is a gorgeous turquoise color... not sure the name. There evidence of it in the trunk.
