Can i get some feed back on the 440 source heads, the good the bad and the ugly please.

My dad got some for his 505 stroker build, but hasn't finished the motor yet, so I don't know how well they work, but he got them for more header options.

Replace the valve spring retainers before you do anything else......there's been a few failures, i don't know if 440 source has addressed the issue yet.

I know a friend of mine swears by them hes running a 30 over 10.5to1 440 in a 69 dart running 10.50s in the heat right out of the box....Artie

I just might try them, i am building 383 for my 63 Polara, going 60 over on bore, thumper cam, nice intake and carb. just gonna be a weekend cruiser. I am thinking of going 4.30 gears since i wont be doing any long distance driving, nice little stop light to stop light car.

I have a pair for the 512 I'm building for my Satellite.I sent them to Mordern for their CNC port work.I haven't ran them but they are nice and flow good numbers for a stock location port.

their a decent head from what i've heard, but their right at $1,000 bucks now, so why not spend a few ($300.00) more & get the Edelbrock rpm heads?

I haven't run mine yet but I did have a little bit of clearence issue with my 383. The intake valve was too big and hit the cylinder wall but a little bit of grinding fixed that up.
