Heat/ defrost cable

How was the cable from heat/defrost cable ran to the temperature control valve in engine compartment on 73 satellite.

On my A/C car, there is a grommet on firewall, close to driver side fender. The grommet gets two holes, one for the vacuum line for A/C system door actuators running between A/C control (with a check valve in the middle) and the manifold vacuum three, and the other one for the heater valve cable.

Cable also gets a small bracket attached that clips to the cowl panel above the wiper motor.

Heater cars should be something similar.
