Heaterbox setup

Hi,

Just finished reassembly of my heater box for a 68 charger. I didnt check the setup of the flappers/valves before dissambly.

Would like to setup the valves operation right before i put it in the car. Now i have adjusted so when floor/side heating is opened the window defrost closes.

Whrn i close bottom hatch(side/floor) window defroster opens about 25%.

At what position of the valve do i close the upper flappers and tighten nut?

The FSM has a pretty decent explanation of how it operates. Have you read up on it in the FSM.

On both sides of the defroster actuator the connections are blinded. Is this correct? I would assume they should be open so the valve can "breathe"

When I complete an A/C box resto I have a small electric vacuum pump (or you can use any source of constant vacuum) that I use to hook up the switches and actuate all the doors and make my adjustments according to the FSM
