I was told the Hellcat engine is now available in crate form for $19K.This opens many opportunities

They had it listed at sema for almost 22k I think. I’m assuming 15k is for the engine alone, no harness or pedals

You are gonna need a lot more than the engine and harness to do a swap. But....Has anyone put one in a 66 - 67 B body?

If my kids were grown and out on their own (not that I want that) I'd be thinking hard on this, $15,000 sounds very fair.

It’s a very fair price, especially for something with a warranty and will last 100k plus miles easy

Thank you!

Not a problem.

There is no way on Earth, the average shade-tree mechanic or engine builder can resemble this build with a B/RB motor for $15,000. I can see many of these engines finding themselves in pump-gas drag cars. Easy 9-second passes for a lifetime, with minimal maintenance other than fluid changes.

Cam, exhaust, tune, and a pulley guys are running low 9’s in a 4500 lb challenger

I agree 100%...sad part is there will still be people that give the owners **** when the pop the hood because it's not a 440 or Hemi.

Exactly, Hellcats are making 650 +/- rwhp & 600 ft/lbs +/- stock on the chassis dyno.

Absolutely. I could care less about what's under the hood, I'm just happy they're on the road.

yes, that will always happen but then how many here have pre-67 models with the 440 installed and we all know that is not stock...so basically what is the difference..heck majority cars here are not anywhere close to having their stock engine in place and if maybe stock CU IN to start with, that is where it ends as the trend here is build build build, many here are 318 wide block converted if not /6 units...again, whose name is on the title ???? Nothing wrong in the way anyone wants to build their cars is what I am saying...so the heck with those whiners who only see your taillights opening in the distance...
