Help - Fast dual synch hitting the head?

It appears that my the fast dual synch distributor is hitting the side of the edelbrock rpm cylinder head on the way do and binding about a 1/4 inch shy of being seated against the block? Anyone run into this? Do I need to just massage the head a little bit?

i had similar prob on the driver side for the power steering line, and just filed the aluminium down a bit.

I just checked it with a piece of paper, it is hitting, no doubt. I am really tentative about taking 3/8 of an inch out of my aluminum cylinder head.

Nothing a sawzall won't take care of!! How much bigger(diameter) is the fast dist. than the factory dist.

I am going to call them in the AM. I am going to ask them to make me one that is taller like my MSD. I dont see why they wouldn't be able to. If they can't I will convert my MSD as a backup plan
